Mother board is the platform on which the various component that make up the hardware of the component are comnected, the entire computer circuit find their base on the system board
 Types of motherboard
1. Integrated motherboard
2. Non integrated motherboard
    Integrated motherboard has most of its component soidierd on the board. It simplicity has much space it conserved. When more component has fault on this motherboard, the entire board can not be replaced.
   Non integrated has expansion slot with some of its component disattached such as vedio adapter, PCI slot, etc it Can b replace the faulty component without changing the whole motherboard

  1. Southbridge: ( input and output) controller did handle communication between periperal device
 2. Cache memory: A storage that preload the information that the system need
 3. Chip set : This is a group of small circiut( north bridge $ southbridge) that co- ordinate the flow of data and from c.p.u component to and flow going to or from c.p.u ) it co ordinate c.p.u memory, secondary, cache memory
